Christmas is coming soon - it's time to get cooking to treat yourself and entertain with good products made in France 🇫🇷
For this we called on the talented Laura from @formica_cooking who came up with a series of easy recipes.

🔪Recipe:
🍆Place two whole eggplants in the oven at 200 degrees until they are soft inside. Open them, collect all the pulp and mash it with a fork.
🧄🫒🍋Add 2 crushed garlic cloves, 3 tablespoons of tahini (sesame paste), 3 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and the juice of two lemons.
🐟Arrange two sheets of brick pastry on top of each other, add a quarter of the eggplant caviar in the center, arrange two whole sardines . Fold the bricks into squares, place them on the baking sheet on baking paper. 🧈Brush with melted butter, and bake at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes, until the brick is crispy.

😋You can cut them in half to arrange on a snack buffet, or serve them whole on a plate as a starter.

📖 A little history about this recipe?
Bricks were born in the 11th century in the nomadic cultures of the Maghreb. The Berber peoples created their kingdom and invented, 700 years before the sandwich, delicious little turnovers that allow you to take your food everywhere, and make delicious aperitifs with friends. Brick sheets were prepared by women 🙋‍♀️, and each family had a round copper dish that allowed them to be cooked 🍵 Classically with egg or tuna, here we suggest you discover them with sardines from the Basque Country and Baba Ganoush, Lebanese eggplant caviar.
